painting with ashes & tears

hello lovely,

how are you feeling and navigating this wild ride currently..?

as for myself … well, it’s STILL snowing here ;/ grrr

needless to say i am eagerly awaiting sunshine and flowers…

during this crazy quarantine i am now in art school full-time!

(yes, expansion and investing in oneself even now instead of contracting is a SECRET to life!)

but alas, i ran out of paint

and how to paint when you run out of paint but you just can’t stop painting

as it has become your safe space, happy place, meditation, prayer and offering..?

i started to get anxious

i felt stuck

it’s so important to have healthy OUTLETS especially in times like these…

all the local art stores are closed and it will take a month to receive an online order…

so what’s a goddess to do?

EXPERIMENT!

i used all-natural pigments from household items such as:

COFFEE GREEN TEA BERRIES ASHES CHARCOAL TURMERIC etc

i created these paintings with some white paint and a few tears mixed in …

yes, my emotions have been a little raw lately

WE MUST ALLOW OURSELVES TO FEEL

AND FEEL THE WHOLE OF WHAT WE FEEL

REGARDLESS OF HOW WE FEEL

BECAUSE OUR FEELINGS ARE RIGHT

AND LET’S STOP JUDGING THEM

back to the ‘paints’…

they aren’t as vibrant as regular paints but they are eco and elegantly simple

ANYONE CAN DO THIS

i just love using them now and i really like their softness …

what do you think?

now i know that running out of paint was a BLESSING.

i truly hope this inspires you to be creative and optimistic because

external conditions cannot limit us when we know who we are~

LIMITLESS.
