I always heard I’d LOVE it in NYC and that it’s wild, creative energy would really suit me…it’s true!
I’ve been meeting old friends and new ones, checking out raw restaraunts and making wishes…
I’ll share more about my trip next time, but I wouldn’t even had gone had I not realised something I feel is so vital and magical for us as women…First a quick story…
When my now husband of 17 years first proposed it was his mother, my soon to be Mother-in-Love, that instantly flashed through my mind (of all things).
She’s the Matriarch in a large Italian family and I knew I’d be spending alot of time in her presence if I married her son.
I adored her since the moment she threw her arms around me in a warm embrace when we met 😀
She helped me feel welcomed into the family and COMFORTABLE.
Comfort is lovely, and as someone who’d struggled alot in life I hadn’t realized how much I valued it.
But… what I actually crave is INSPIRATION- nothing ignites or enchants me more or feels more vital.
Inspiration comes from the Latin root word that means ‘In Spirit’ = EMBODYING SPIRIT.
It’s really the source of our Light and radiance as women.
This is important because YOUR radiance, is highly Attractive to everything you want.
To Love. To Beauty. To Health. To Wealth. To every flavour of your FULLFILLMENT.
We can’t live a truly fulfilling life without being inspired, and yet so many of us TRY…
We try to fit in.
We try to get through the day.
We try not to stand out.
We try to make ends meet.
We try to please.
We try to do it all…(and on our own!)
We try to eat well.
We try to save money.
We try not to be angry, depressed or needy.
We try not to criticize.
We try to be sexy, vibrant, interesting.
We try to have enough energy for what matters.
We try to hide our ‘flaws’.
We try to go for it and become ‘successful’.
We try to hold it all together.
Ugh.
The very energy of ‘trying’ isn’t inspired or radiant- and it isn’t even actually YOU.
The trying energy isn’t infused with your inspiration and therefore isn’t:
unique
original
juicy
creative
sparkling
powerful
hot
pulsing
visceral
magnetic
core
essence
energy, is it..?
When a woman is lit up from within by whatever inspires HER, her desires are SPECTACULARLY SOULFUL.
But when a woman isn’t sourced by her own inspiration, her life can feel hollow and dull- she feels like an empty shell and life is an effort.
Life without inspiration becomes vanilla BEIGE.
I remember my own life like a faded nightmare…
I was so stuck in my Slavegirl…everything was a struggle.
But Oh how I DREAMED of a bigger life for myself, I know I was meant for something MORE.
I longed to become the woman I envision in my Fantasy~ EARTH EMPRESS.
I’m all for stepping out of comfort zones to follow my Inspiration, especially in 2014.
What are YOU CRAVING? You can have them whatever they are- they are MEANT for you!
Some women crave a beautiful body or unlimited abundance or a legendary love affair…
…but they don’t embrace the shadow side of their Divine Inspirations, which is discomfort.
Discomfort stops them from stretching into their ability to be open to more.
So they stay in the dead zone, the no zone, the beige zone, the comfort zone!
Well, comfort is lovely, up to a point.
But there’s nothing lovely about seeing a woman neglect her Exquisite Self-Care around her partner because she’s ‘comfortable’ in her relationship…
Or colluding with our girlfriend who is constantly complaining about her life and in victim mode but refuses to get the support she needs to make other choices…
Or allowing ourselves to stay stuck in our energy levels, mindset, health, finances or relationships because even as painful as that is it feels more comfortable than taking an inspired risk.
To live as an Earth Empress with your Light turned ON is a journey of igniting your Inspiration and blossoming, like a self-blessing tree.
But that may require some discomfort when you are elevating into the next evolution of your desires.
And it’s so worth it. YOU are worth it, my Beauty.
I can’t wait to share with you what’s coming….until then….

It inspires me to go out dancing but it’s REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE to go alone.
Dancing is such a sensual way to move energy through our bodies and embody our feminine power and beauty. Maybe I’ll share a photo someone took of me up on a table at The DL in NYC..! Why go alone when you can grab a girlfriend? If none of your BFs want to go dancing can you join a local meet up group of dancers?
I am neither happy or comfortable! The start of this year has been very strange odd and interesting, I enjoyed your post.
I am comfortable in a new relationship with a man 14 yrs my senior but UNCOMFORTABLE with our housemates: an alcoholic and a lady with advanced dementia – its definitely a challenge! I am inspired as about to start studying Western Herbal Medicine – SO very excited but also will be very much out of my comfort zone as have never done a diploma in my life and I’m nearly 63!
This made me feel really empowered. Today me and a friend went to this event we thought would have a lot of people, turned out it was a more intimate gathering and even though we didn’t know many people I’m glad we put ourselves out there. We definitely chose inspiration over comfort and living that way is the only way to live true to ourselves- so I definitely enjoyed this post. It is life in motion, and life in love.
@Kathy: Where are you Inspired? Where would you be inspired? What could inspire you if you gave yourself that permission kathy?
@Jennifer King: Wow, you are going for it all and I am over the moon excited for your relationship and new studies Jennifer- and at 63 you are definitely an inspiration for many women! And where you are currently uncomfortable..this is an opportunity for you to further stand in your truth and your desires…there are a thousand choices around this challenge when you are ready. I celebrate how powerful you are!

My dear how can you be inspired when you are jobless you dont have a money and you are thinking what will happen to you tomorrow in this situation what kind of inspiration will you think about!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Earth Empress: TO HAYAT: Hayat, I hear your fear and worry and I get it…
It may feel counter-intuitive, but within your current jobless situation is actually the PERFECT time to think about what inspires you and move towards that BEFORE you find yourself in a soul-sucking dead-end job…while you are jobless, you have some time and space to tune into yourself, to take Exquisite Care of yourself by allowing this time to nourish you and to imagine all the things that do inspire you that you could parlay into work.
This doesn’t have to take a long time…
Just a shift in how you are relating to being without work from a hopeless, desperate or resentful place to a more expansive place of ‘Ok, this is where I am currently am, how to make the best of it’ mindset, can impact yourself and everyone around you and the next job offer can be of a higher caliber because of the frequency you are in when you attracted it.
Let everyone know you are looking for work and own your talents and what inspires you and by marrying the feminine trusting with the masculine doing, miracles can happen for you!
I have stayed stuck in a marriage for a very long time, with comfort being a major part of the reason. I’m getting ready to move out, so this is very encouraging to hear. I like the perspective of discomfort being the shadow side of our Divine Inspirations. I intend to hold an open space for new sources of support and income like you shared with Hayat (and also feel fear that I won’t be able to!)

I decided to stay and turn it around and you have decided to turn it around and leave…it’s not so much about what we do but rather how we are relating to our choice…I love that you are allowing yourself to hold that space of receiving for the support and income you desire. Continue to move in the direction of what inspires and scares you…Money is highly attracted to the woman who trusts herself!
