sensual eating for a beautiful holiday season

The holidays are a beautiful time to exhale, relax and indulge your gorgeous self!

But, to avoid being suddenly an extra 10 pounds heavier and feeling sluggish from holiday parties, I have some successful strategies for you to ensure you stay svelte and sexy!

This is the year you will go into the New Year feeling incredible…

My Top Tips to Holiday with Poise and Passion

1. Be prepared. The holidays can trigger the anxiety-indulgence-guilt-deprivation cycle. Set your intention of how you want to experience your holidays this year…slow down, take a deep sensual breath, and choose 1 or 2 feelings you wish to experience this holiday…spaciousness…serenity…self-compassion…

You are so beautiful you don’t even have to be flawless.

2. Wear a particular piece of jewelry that makes you feel Royal. And whenever you touch it or look at it during the festivities, let it serve as a sparkling reminder of your beauty and light that you radiate. The holidays are a magical time to shine.

You are too modest to even consider how many feel blessed just to catch a glimpse of you…

3. Fill up on a gorgeous Green Smoothie right before heading out the door so you don’t arrive to the party hungry. A healthy smoothie or snack that is high in fiber will fill you and relax you.

Take time to notice how full your cup truly is…

4. Bring a large salad, dressing or raw dessert, one that you are excited treat yourself to and share. The holidays are a gorgeous time to practice Sensual Eating and savour every bite, and drink in the atmosphere!

An hour a day. In the Earth. Silence your mind. Infuse your being with beauty and peace… and fresh fruits and veggies.

5. Be a sexy sampler.  A bite of this, a sip of that.  A taste here and will keep you feeling festive, not deprived.  Keep to your usual Olympic Goddess standards during the day, and then sprinkle in a little bit of naughtiness here and there at holiday events. Don’t obsess- have fun!

Your smile is the sweetest spot in the Universe, your laughter is music that opens minds and hearts.

6. Pass on the pastry and deep fried appetizers, and instead, create a pretty rainbow plate of salads, crudités and fruit available. Remember, the first taste is with your eyes…Create a plate of paradise that will be a feast for all your senses, and savor!

Everything you desire is on it’s way. It all begins with clarity and a beautiful intention.

7. Drink lots of water with lime, out of an elegant wine goblet to feel fabulous!  Bring your own delicious egg and dairy-free Spice Nog, Pommegranate Wine, (see below for recipe) or a favorite juice from the Health Food Store. Add sparkling water, and garnish with fresh mint or a pretty slice of lime. You will stay fresh, pretty and hydrated all night!

She couldn’t help but see herself in beauty…and so she did.

Relaxation is a beautiful space to move into this holiday. Focus on socializing more than food; mingle, dance, take someone for a walk, play games, look through family albums, tell the children a story, sit on Santa’s lap, hang out near the Mistletoe, and laugh a lot!  Embrace the spirit of the season connecting with friends and family. Hold your intention to focus on what is most meaningful to you about holiday gatherings, and enjoy the magic!
